Gift or tourist market? Obviously well done, but is is slightly twee and commercial for your serious potter.

Depends on your definition of serious potter. It's well thrown; it's nicely pierced; probably 70s; I don't think it's a hobby potter.
And how many professional potters *don't* make pots for the tourist market? Where would our Arts & Crafts Galleries be without tourists?

We ran a gift shop in the 70's, and this is exactly the sort of thing we would sell back then. The British tourist souvenir industry was still quite substantial , and there were still numerous small potteries producing inexpensive work like this. It isn't marked because it would have a gold paper sticker on it
