Egg cup with face. Thorn logo

It is the Thorn EMI logo and I suspect that aren't going to want people to know who designed them and where they were made.

I suppose China is going to be the answer to where they were made.

It looks on the large side for an egg cup and having the neck open would mean that egg could run right down inside the body making it very hard to clean. I can't think of an alternative use, though, especially with the hole in the base, so you're probably right about it being an egg cup.

It probably isn't advertising merchandise for a particular Thorn product or it would have the product name on it. My guess is that it's a rep's giveaway, something better than a branded pen or mousemat to give to a low-level retailer or supplier.
