Might be a snail or a bird or a bunch of knitting :) I've never worked it out. Anyway it might be Jacqui Ramrayka

Oz Street has a snail mark very like this, I have 3 pieces with a clear snail mark but cannot show them as pix won't load. The snail tail on mine may be a little longer but it is very similar. The clay is a similar colour but the striations on the bottom, while also very similar, are curved on my pots. The base of the handle is similar, with that pinched triangular shape, although I would like to see a fuller picture of it to be sure. One of the small jugs I have has a brown speckly glaze like the one in the picture.Oz Street's forms are very economical and assured, as is the form of this large jug. I am very fond of my pieces, I like his style.
Oz Street was the professional potting name for, I believe, Paul Cartlidge (unsure of spelling) who taught ceramics somewhere. He has now retired and uses his original name. I bought all three pieces at a ceramics gallery called The Green Man in Pickering, and they gave me this information.
