Bizarre Plant Life, JC mark

Hi.  Thank you very much for adding me to your forum.  Looks great and I’m sure to learn a lot.  As my first post I was wondering if anyone could ID this fantastic, weird pot that I have.  It is in the form of an egg with plant life adornment....told you it was weird!  It measures 4 inches in diameter and 3.5 high.  The mark on it is JC.  Thanks for your time and i look forward to hearing your views. PS, there is now view of the base as a previous owner has added felt liner, which I’m attempting to remove with care!
