Help Identify Old Clay Tile With Embossed Medeival Warrior On Horseback
Please can anyone identify this old clay or terracotta tile, it's 10cm square and 1.8cm thick,, it does have some writing around the diameter but I can't make out what any of it reads? I got it from a guy that used to collect tiles but he did not know anything about it either and could'nt remember where he got it from.

Very nice. I’ve not seen anything like that before. It’s odd to have an unfinished surround. I wonder if it was used as a mould for a wax seal?

Can't quite make it out, but if the writing is reversed (mirrored) it would be a mould.
If it is fire-clay, possibly even for metal
