There are a number of studio pots in Sworders 20th Century Design Sale next Tuesday, 13th October, too.

Just adding this link with info about the Shurz and their collecting. Some nice words from the potters and gallery owners who knew them. Why were they selling? It sounded like Leonard had died

I asked David Binch (Oakwood Gallery), as he knew them from Art in Clay and this was his reply,

"Sadly Alison developed Alzheimer’s several years ago and passed away, shortly and tragically followed by Leonard".

My pots arrived from the auction. Packed and posted by Mail Boxes of Macclesfield who were recommended by Partridges. Very impressed. P&P cost me just under £50 without insurance but I couldn’t be happier. Well worth it.
