I imagine they weren't made to be sold together but they would/could have been sold without a sake bottle (tokkuri).

I don’t think they are kutani. The motifs are closer to Chinese Canton export porcelain, especially the cabbage leafs the immortals are sitting on

I searched endlessly on the marks sites trying to nail down any symbol
I could find, but all I could see was the one (half) of the usual kutani mark.
It's in there, maybe clearer on other cups. I'll do some more pics sonetime.

I’m not finding anything that resembles this set - the mark or the decoration - on the Kutani pages.
It’s a partial ink stamp.

I’m sure it’s Canton ware. I watched a video recently explaining the differences between four main forms of famille rose Canton wares. The fruit and flower border on yours is found on medallion etc wares

I’ve split it off from the Kutani thread because I’m pretty sure it’s Rose Medallion ware from Hong Kong

the red circle around foot rim is odd and the glass is too pristine and shiny. Not onder than second half of 20th century or maybe 21st. and from China, imo

The character you circled does mean "nine" in Japanese, as in "nine valleys=kutani", but it means something else in Chinese.

A Ha! I thought I wasn't imagining it, but of course it sent me down the wrong path.
