Medieval jug with impressed mark Empty Medieval jug with impressed mark

Very convincing 13th century style jug. Glazes look good.
But it has got an impressed mark so sadly not.
Mark might be lower case am - can’t see it in book.
French ? English?

From the look of it looks like quickly produced 'country pottery' produced for a local market. But that clay does not look British.

Thank you, I was wondering French or maybe further south. I would have been happy digging it up on the Thames 40 years ago.
