Green Vase with HJG mark

Hello all,
Have been unable to find the maker for this item. It looks similar to some other makers but nothing is an exact match. Just wondered if anyone had any suggestions/ideas as I have hit a wall in my search to identify the maker.

Starting to think this may be an amateur piece the more I look at the way the signature has been done, any thoughts?

It’s a confident monogram. Might be Irish or an experienced hobby pottery?

Could the extended middle line be a 'J'? Looks a tad excessive for an 'H'.
