I’ve had a few tobacco head pots but this isn’t one of the marks I’ve come across before. I’d estimate it’s c.1900, from Northern Europe, maybe Germany . Hopefully someone can read the signature

Yes, they are usually described as Tobacco jars, although smoking purists would point out the tobacco would go stale if they were actually used for storing it, due to the poor seal. So more novelty items than of practical use.
