A simple pot, 6" high, 1" across, with applied medallion-type disc. Impressed R.C. on base.

I’ve come across it before but not positively IDed it. Possibly early Rosemary Cochrane or Richard Champion. We can rule out Ruth Charlton who said it's not her mark

Cochrane looks closest, although I don't know if her early work had a slightly different mark to those I've seen. The letters on mine are stiffer (like a formal type font, if that makes sense) than Cochrane's, which looks more hand-written. The only mark I can find so far for Champion is an M for Monkleigh.

This one has an M and a similar RC stamp. Not verified as being Richard Chsmpion of Monkleigh Pottery but seems a coincidence that they have the same combination of letters

The mark in this unidentified pot is very similar but the clay is a far lighter colour on mine.
