There seems to be a lot of copper showing through around the marks and at the botton part of the plate. It might just be reflections but you sure it isn't silver plated?

Hi, thank you for your message. Yes, I am sure it is silver, I also have a certificate of expertise in this regard. In the photo there are really some reflections from my red curtain! :)

I'm wondering if the marks are Hanau pseudo, the crown looks very much like the ones I have seen on Hanau silver before. I can't make out the other mark clearly. Have a look here for more information:

Hi, thanks for your message! Indeed, Hanau pseudo can be a begening research, although looking for a Hanau Pseudo-Mark is like looking in The Bermuda Triangle! :)

Thanks for your advice, I have already posted on the 925-1000.com forum a few days ago. Today I cleaned the hallmarks area (which now look much clear) and post some pictures after cleaning (I hope to help identify). Kind regards!

If I get time over the weekend, I'll have a look through my Tardy book (on international silver hallmarks), its the cat like figure that is going to be hard to find, possibly the maker or master mark.
