Re: Vallauris (France) - Jean Rossignol and Joseph Calvas
8 or possibly B.34 with label. 20.5cm. Can someone translate the label for me please? Any idea of period? This is very different from other Vallauris on the thread.

Re: Vallauris (South of France)
Hello there
FPP = Faiences et Poteries Provencales = pottery created in 1950 by two partners Jean Rossignol and Joseph Calvas-Blanchon (Born 22/11/1914) It closed in 1967. Hope this helps. No idea what the B.34 stands for other than a model number.

well dantheman if u are talking about ugly then look at this.... todays find.....shocking to think that delicious goodies are"supposed to" be displayed on this monster. i would think that only bright colored Indian cookies would show off best.

Jerome Massier
Jerome Massier - my favourite Vallauris. I think it just creeps into the 20th century. Probably designed by Clement Massier may have been reissued after his death around 1909. 31.5cm. If any of the French specialists can tell me more I would be grateful

Re: Vallauris (South of France)
I didn't know prior to buying the piece that Capron & Picault opened a factory in 1952 producing architectural ceramics, shortly after which they were awarded a gold medal in Milan(1954) & a gold money medal in Cannes the following year, four years later they got the hat trick by winning the gold medal in Brussels.
