Can anyone ID this signature Empty Can anyone ID this signature

Hello,

I have an octagonal wall plate which has a signature on the back which I cannot identify. Does anyone have any clues? I would be extremely grateful if anyone has any suggestions to help me identify it. (the second picture is the front of the plate - just in case that helps).

The decoration looks Southern European. Portugal is my first thought, or Spain or Italy
