Plate / Bowl ID - possibly Wye Valley?
Hello,
I would be extremely grateful if anyone is able to shed any light on the maker of this plate / bowl. The mark on the back looks like it is a W and a V, i understand that this is the mark of the Wye Valley Pottery however i have usually seen that mark inside a circle or a square. I also recognise that it may be upside down and it could be a M and an A or something else.
I had thought that it might be a Margaret Leach / Lewis Groves Taena piece but I understand the mark for these pieces is usually a cross inside a circle
Any thoughts would be gratefully appreciated.
Many thanks

Not Wye Valley. Similar to the mark of Marcellus Aubry, Belgium, and a Spanish table ware manufacturer

Thanks for taking the time to look over this question. I have looked at Marcellus Aubry and his mark appears to be handwritten / scored rather than stamped. I have yet to figure out which Spanish tableware manufacturer you refer to. Thank you for your response though, it is very much appreciated.
