The mark....mmmmmm…
Handprinted? What the heck does that mean? Laughter
Made in JAPPN? Big Laughter
OLD ROSE? For a design that does not look much like roses?
Does not really give a very great confidence in the authenticity of the piece...

It does say handpainted, it's just the funny way they do the "A".

"MADE IN JAPAN" would be post 1921.
