NEW ZEALAND ART GLASS VASE SIGNED NZ 1978 TAZ PETRI? PELI?

This is a lovely tall glass vase which I am trying to identify - I can make out the year which is 1978 and from what I can work out also NZ for New Zealand but the signature is very hard to read - it looks like it could start with a T or perhaps a P and what looks like az? maybe TAZ?  The surname includes an i - could be Petri or Peli?  If anyone can please help in identifying this artist then I would really appreciate it. Sorry about the photos but the signature is very hard to photo clearly.
