I’ve seen a couple of these before
6cm tall, impressed W mark.

Just spotted this in a book I was browsing, might tie in with the'W'mark? The book dates from 1973.

There is an identical piece coming up for sale at Partridges that lists this piece as by Mollie Winterburn (1920-1996)

Yes, Partridges has misattributed it, imo. Not one of Winterburn's marks

By Mary Rogers and incised MER.
She didn't use a W or M stamp according to the Marks book
