That base rim. It does not look very finessed. Downright untidy.Not something one often sees in a British potter.

Can you post a photo of the mark on the other item

The mark looks a bit like Colin Pearson but just a wild guess.

On close inspection the mark does have the small tails seen on John reeves mark. He was not always the “neatest” of potters and there are lots of similarities in his tenmoku work.
