Question about 'ASTRACOLOR' glasses
I am asking about glass marked 'HANDMADE/ASTRACOLOR/THE SIGN OF FINE GLASS WARE'. I see it a fair amount in Australian second hand shops, but when I search "astracolor" online, in the search bar on this website and other places, I get some listings for sale on ebay etc, but no info at all on the brand/make/origin. I have seen a forum post on Astra glass on another forum, but the label I am talking about was not listed there, not was any information about this label.
What is this glassware? What country was it made in (I know it is not British or Australian as we spell it colour)? I have mainly seen it on harlequin glass and wine glasses that look quite aged. I have included some photos of the coloured glasses I have, and some that I saw in a second hand shop last week and went back to photograph for this post are in the comments below.
Any and all info about this label is very much appreciated.
Thank you, Alice

Re: Question about 'ASTRACOLOR' glasses
Initial searches say they were made in Czechoslovakia in the 1950s-60s but as you say, not much info online

Thank you Dantheman for that, I appreciate it.
Thank you Naomi, I couldn't even find that much so I really appreciate the information! What search words did you use/how did you get there? I would like to become more self sufficient at searching so that I don't have to always use forums, and would appreciate learning how to better inform myself.

Re: Question about 'ASTRACOLOR' glasses
I just searched on 'Astracolor glass label' but because of Google's search algorithms, I will get more hits in Europe than you will searching in Australia. (Although if you're searching on Bing then switch to Google, it gets a lot more results)

Ah I see! Thank you very much, I had never considered that. I am using google. Is there a way to get European?American results, or do I have to keep going through the pages until they turn up? That would be so handy when I am searching for vintage clothing labels too.

Re: Question about 'ASTRACOLOR' glasses
I don't think there's a way of specifying locations to search in. I find it quicker to search under google images, but usually it's just a case of looking through the heaps of pages very quickly and being focused on looking for key words like a location or date, otherwise it's easy to get bogged down in the detail.

I will definitely practice scanning for keywords, because I do indeed tend to get bogged down reading stuff that isn't important. I think I will go with Czech made and the 60s for when people ask, as they often do as they are so pretty. Thank you for all your help :)
