A blue 'Fuga' tumbler vase designed in 1957 for Orrefors by Sven Palmqvist using his pioneering centrifugal force technique still in use today.

Am fairly certain it's not Dartington (we've been through the Mark Hill/Eve Thrower book and it's not in there) - it's not in either of the Pina Scandi glass books either. It's a nice decanter and the stopper is rather elegant however I don't recognise it unfortunately.

The decanter is Sven Palmqvist for Orrefors, 1959. The design is called 'Rhapsody', and is form number PS1850.

Sven Palmqvist 4303/11 bowl, signed on the base. 11cm in diameter and 7.5cm high. I'm slightly intrigued by the engraved mark which says "Orrefors CP" (looks more like a C or an L than an S) and "4303/111". I wonder if it is just a malformed S and why the extra 1 on the serial number. If it is SP does that imply that it was produced post 1980? Unless the C is the engraver - although the only engraved thing on it is the signature! Nice to have the box too. I'd love to know when it was designed if anyone knows :)

Orrefors Glass, Sweden - Sven Palmqvist designs Sam_1911



Got this at the booty. It had a sort of ultra-restistant bloom on the inside which came off in the end with Simicrome metal polish and a toothbrush.
Sven Palmqvist design from 1972 I think engraved by E.G? The base is so scratched that it is difficult to see the details of the markings
Do you think it is meant to be a saint?
If so, which one?
