I got that 8" tall, hefty, square vase

At the bottom of it are initials DH

DH signature at bottom of glazed flower vase Vase112

The glazed flower pattern looks like some of David Heminsley decoration. Could it be him? Someone else?

Not his mark, unfortunately. I’m assuming you found it in the US. There are a couple of DH marks on The Marks Project website although they don’t quite match this style
