Help! Modernist/Abstract, multi-coloured trailed vase - no signature

Hello!

Can anyone help with info on this beautiful multi coloured trailed glass vase? Is it modernist? Any ideas who might have made it or where it was made?

It stands approx 5-6 inches tall. There is no signature. A student piece maybe?

I know next to nothing about glass, but that hasn't stopped me from buying it.
Student or not, it looks a lovely thing & I would think that a fair bit of work has gone into creating that, I would happily give it shelf space.
It looks modern, but I am only guessing.

Thanks for the positive words toad, have to say I totally agree. It's LOVELY. I'm just dying to know more about it!!

Yes Naomi is correct is has a concave polished pontil - does that suggest anything to you then Davee?

A concentric highly polished concave pontil usually signifies a quality maker but I would have expected a piece of studio glass like this to be signed. Unfortunately the Chinese glass that gets imported by places such as TK maxx is getting better and better quality and these are the type of things you are seeing there. I'm not saying it's not a studio piece but just another avenue for you to explore.
