Rustic woman figurine, test piece dated March 1963
A figurine of a rustic looking lady holding a basket or bowl. The style and face don't really suggest an English origin (looks more Russian to me) but the wording on the base - 'First test 19.3.63' - makes it irrefutably British. I can't make out the top line - looks like a symbol and apostrophe s.
It stands 14.5cm.
To be honest, it really is not the most attractive thing I've ever seen so to have even got as far as a test piece is something.
I know that it's a long shot but would anyone like to venture a possible producer?
