Cased vase with "lenses" Empty Cased vase with "lenses"

Any ideas on this unusual vase? 10 in high, and very heavy, cased white inside, ground and polished base and pontil.
The vase has a "flatback" shape, The surface is matt, with 5 ground and polished "eyes" or lenses.
