Raku bowl, blue inside, browns outside, Hh or Hw mark? Empty Raku bowl, blue inside, browns outside, Hh or Hw mark?

Nicely thrown bowl, I think raku fired judging by black base. I bought it years ago labelled as Hugh West but mark suggests to a wiser me now that it’s not.

Agreed Looks a nice piece. But its Raku...and there's the rub! Raku is not a terribly commercial pottery, and not many potters make it. Tim Andrews, David Jones, David Roberts...about the only ones that have made a career out of making it. The marks do not ring a bell, indeed, it might be just that Hugh West did make it,and did not have his normal mark available. He did make Raku.

I need to find out more about raku as the effects seem to differ hugely. Wish I knew more about the actual making of lots of pieces. Could be Hugh West but the labels on the items this came with were sometimes more wishes than facts.
