5.5 “ earthenware shallow bowl, sgraffito fish and weed. M mark, possibly with a dot underneath.
I have had a Stoneshill sgraffito dish before but stoneware and very different to this.
4/6 in pencil on base fpdates it to 50s or 60s.

He was an apprentice to David Leach. His early Stoneshill work was very Leach school, but he changed quite radically. He never ever did this type of work, Just Google Maltby images!
There are a number of potters who use a capital M. Graham Matthews, Steve Mattison,Leo Matthews. I am sure Naomi will know.
