Royal Venton Ware made by J Steventon & Sons from Burslem, Stoke on Trent. This fabulous glaze is known as Mutton Crackle glaze. The factory operated from 1897-1936.

Here's a website on the factory.

And here is a gallery of Mutton Crackle ware.

Factory seems to have produced a funny range of stuff, some of it's quite ordinary and some rather nice.

Pretty sure it's Crown Ducal, Staffordshire.

Certainly looks to be a British stamp, rather than Continental.

Thanks for the responses. I agree that its probably British.
But cant fins a Crown Ducal mark that would fit ?

Whats the chance of it being a Wilkinson mark?

I have seen many Ducal vases in this colourway though
I can't see a Ducal, or Wilkinson, mark that matches either.

Above the crown is the first word ROYAL, or the second word WARE?

This is bugging me.

I think you are correct, called "Mutton crackle Glaze"

http://www.royalventonware.co.uk/vases.htm

This name was not cross referenced in Goddens, now pencilled in!

John Steventon & Sons, Burslem 1923-36.
