DE stoneware jug - Probably David Eeles

Hi, v. Well made stoneware jug, medieval style decoration. Marked DE impressed and unfortunately another mark, chipped, looks gothic, maybe M
12Ē tall. Hope this is easy to ID. Thanks.

Iím wondering if itís a very early piece by David Eeles. The second mark could be a well for Shepherdís Well Pottery

From the Marks book. The Eeles family is one of the few potters to use the zig zag wire cut on the base of their pots

Thank you. Iíve had some Shepherds Well pieces but not like this. Iíll have another look. The DE is close to the one in the book and I know marks are sometimes a little different to how they are shown.
