I’m not 100% convinced. Although the B is very like her mark in the book, this stamp looks like IB, not just a B.

I'd interpreted an LB mark in the book which looks about right.
The seriphs on the "B" are quite distinctive.
And the clay is right.

Don't think its hers. Nearly all of her work is slipware of some sort.

Just some artistic licence, combining the second "B" with seriphs, and the "LB".
Most of the marks in the book are just sketches, and not always accurate as we know.
That was the best I could come up with anyway.

Re: Joan Bowles (not Lucienne de Mauny)
Sorry, Denby, I agree with Philpot. It’s not Slipware and with the best will in the world I cannot match it to any of the versions in the Book. I think it’s back to square one.

By Joan Bowles who was at Chelsea Pottery in the 1960s before setting up her own studio. The B has the letters JV inside.

This bowl is definitely by Joan Bowles - I was one of her students and I recognise her mark. I was a student at Heston Community School in the late 70’s - early 80’s. Joan worked in earthenware - she had been at Chelsea and often used a scraffito style like that, with tin glazes, decorated with underglaze and oxides and overlaid with a transparent glaze. I knew her well.
