Clubs / Clover Mark with cross - Small Drinking Vessel Empty Clubs / Clover Mark with cross - Small Drinking Vessel

Mark is pretty clear as a Clover mark (+),  the mark looks similar to elizabeth raeburn but it's different to her normal raku stuff... and no additional ER mark....

Elizabeth Raeburn does seem the closest match but you’d have to ask her to be certain

Interesting that she uses the same cross mark as Rodney Lawrence. Apparently they worked together. But she’s stuck to handbuilt Raku since the 80s, so maybe it’s early or by Lawrence? Can’t find anything similar by either of them

After working in music, book publishing and then as a teacher, in 1973 Elizabeth Raeburn began a full time course in studio pottery at Harrow School of Art. While there, she spent a brief but influential time as a production student in David Leach’s workshop. In 1975, she established her own pottery with Rodney Lawrence. Since 1981 Elizabeth has concentrated on handbuilt Raku.

Worth asking her. Certainly similar to the picture of the mark but it doesn’t match the description of her work in the book; and it says the mark is painted or incised from 2012

Hi, I also have a piece with a very similar mark ( let me know if you agree). I posted on forum and went through a few names. Clover, Claire Ireland, Peter Smith. All of them however had initials after the mark. I am still trying to ascertain the maker and if I do find out I will let you know.

Rodney Lawrence worked with Elizabeth Raeburn and they both used the same generic mark with adding their own initials. Might possibly be him. Although truth to tell none of them quite seem to match the original mark.

Not the same mark imo. I’ve replaced the photos with the link to the original thread to avoid confusion if & when the other one is IDed and this thread is moved to the Studio Pottery section.
