similar to traditional Poole Pottery
Hi
I am relishing this post as I put it in the wrong section, I would appreciate help identifying a vase I recently purchased for a song.I wondered if it could be a Poole trial vase? It stands 8.75" in height and has the classic Poole shape but does not bear the Poole mark however has a painted TM mark which looks like the Tony Morris mark, any help would be great, I have attached two photos

Re: similar to traditional Poole Pottery
The deco style rules out Tony Morris I'm afraid.
I dont think it's Poole. Even trials were marked I believe.
One of many potteries making this type of vase during the 1930s.
I will delete the duplicate pictures.

I think it's from the 1940's so 20 years before Tony Joined the team

Re: similar to traditional Poole Pottery
Too creamy to be Poole imo. Honiton, maybe but the colours are wrong. I came across a Honiton style pot last year that surprised me when I read the mark....I’m just trying to remember what it was....Torquay ware, maybe

Hi
The glaze is quite glossy also, looks a bit like Honiton though, TM mark is puzzling me, also has an 'S2' mark

Honiton did use that colour clay, rather than Torquay, but was usually
underglazed in white.

Had a quick look, can't find any Honiton like it so far
