Weird jug - any ideas or info, please!

I have a strange old jug I know nothing about. There are no marks on it. I bought it 30 years ago at an Antiques/Collectables fair in Essex. The stallholder had no info about it either. It looks 'majollica-ish' in its decoration but I can't even really tell what it's made of. It feels like plaster or clay. Has anyone any info or suggestions, please? Thank you!

Looks like unglazed/unfinished Palissy ware,

Thank you - I will look up Palissy ware. Thank you for sorting out the photos - I'm not sure how I managed to post duplicates but then couldn't work out how to delete them!
