Stefan Gorski - 1977 Painting
I just purchased an Oil Painting by Stefan Gorski signed and dated Gorski 1977. I am trying to find out more information about the painter and the actual painting I just purchased. If possible I would like to find out the Name of the piece and if the frame is original. The canvas itself measures 24"x40"
Thanks
Thanks

Very impressive. Similar figures to his statues

Very nice, the frame looks contemporary with the period.

Great piece - nice buy. Agree that the frame looks right, but as with the underside of pots, its always helpful to see the back of the frame as different types of nails/pins/darts etc were used at different points in history, as too were backings/tapes/adhesives etc. It appears from the photo that the frame haa a canvas/ hessian border which was very 70s

The Back is a hardboard that is screwed to the front? of the frame which does appear to be covered with a canvas burlap like material.bluenote wrote:Great piece - nice buy.
