Is this a Whitefriars measuring jug/ Img_2010
Is this a Whitefriars measuring jug/ Img_2011
Is this a Whitefriars measuring jug/ Img_2012
Is this a Whitefriars measuring jug/ Img_2013

I got this at the boot this morning and it has immediately wormed its way into my heart. The engraving, the pontil, the Imperial measure and the handle all look like class to me but there are no other examples to compare with. Any comments?

Possibly, the handle looks right. May have been engraved elsewhere.

Why Whitefriars? This kind of utility ware could have been made anywhere, not necessarily in the UK. It also surprises me that the measures barely go more than half way up, though it is undoubtedly fairly old. Measures rarely have so much spare space
