1990 German wall-plate with monogram and illegible signature

A handpainted wall-plate, with monograms front and back ('JF', possibly?), the latter dated 1990, and an inscription from the artist with illegible signature, dated 1992.

No amount of squinting on my part will help me divine what it says.

No idea but I like it!

The monogram on the back could read HF.
The christian name of the signature could be Hermann
and the last name could start with an F

Just a theory, hope this idea helps ...

Another idea:
if the last name would be Fischer (or Fischinger or similar) then the mark with a fish would make sense :-)
