Double tree stamp, Ken Halsall, Light Trees Pottery, Cumbria
Hi
Bought this yesterday for around £1 in a mixed pottery lot at auction
Id seen it amongst a few I'd wanted to keep and figured as it appeared to my naive eye to be something special to certain tastes, I could pay for the auction box by selling it
I initially incorrectly ID'd it as Hodge from Skyfield studio, (we only get 12 hours from viewing to buying so lots to get through)
I am now getting results for Light Trees Pottery Australia and Ken Halsall.
Your thoughts?
I can't find any info on them, I thought maybe it was someone, using the mark but a more modern piece?
Thanks in advance

Yes, 1970s pieces by Ken Hansall. I'm surprised the Australian Potters' Marks website doesn't seem to have him but they are the best place to ask

But he's not Australian - he's from Liverpool. "Light Trees" is in Cumbria.

I got a Rod Page vase as well, must have had him on my mind
Cheers for the help, think I'll get in touch with an auction down that way then hmm...

I have used the link you kindly provided Mr Brabazon to contact Kate Halsall to see if she would like to see the photos or if I can take some better ones
I hate to not try to reunite relatives and friends with information about their loved ones work, it can bring so much serenity
Thanks again
