I would suggest one of the Staffordshire Majolica companies like Minton but probably not them.

Found another one on ebay - but they don't give any clues as to the maker.

Doesn't look right to me. Sure it's stoneware? looks like Earthenware.
That lozenge looks far too prominent (embossed).
Another on Ebay? Never seen one before.

It's probably because it's not glazed on the bottom. Certainly looks old.

If I'm reading the mark right, it refers to 15 November 1878, parcel 11, registered to F & R Pratt of Fenton. There's a full lst of registered diamond marks in JP Cushion''s "Pocket Book of Ceramic Marks".
