Crazy Dish! Please help identify
Hallo all.
I purchased this a while ago and just love the absolute craziness of it...tis such a bizarre decoration.
Can anyone help identify the maker/origins?.
Thank you.

Looks like slipware or maybe agateware.

Looks slipcast to me, with a transfer print. 1930s butter dish maybe or a later Devonmoor piece?

Thank you for the responses.
Too big for a butter dish...just over 12 inches long and 6 inches wide.
What is slipware and agateware (I'm new to this)?
Regards
Jack.

Re: Crazy Dish! Please help identify
I don't think it's agate ware. The decoration looks applied from the pix.
It reminds me of those giant ash trays one saw in bars in france, sometimes
with advertising on.
I might go for French, probably a nut dish.

Thank you for your input...appreciated.
I have looked up slipcast and agate wear and I hedge towards the former.
I'll see whether I can find any Devonmoor or French similarities.
Regards.
