Marutomo Ware Empty Marutomo Ware

Little Marutomoware jam pot, in the shape of an octagonal birdhouse, with aviform finial. These are always said - probably correctly - to be from the 1920s and 30s.  Printed mark "MARUTOMOWARE" "MADE IN JAPAN" with a capital "T" in a circle. Japanese  writing beneath.
