Slab rolled vase, Dorothy Stopes, Kentigern Pottery, St Asaph, Wales
Pair of tall slab rolled vases. Labelled Kentigern Pottery, St Asaph, North Wales.
St Kentigren helped establish St Asaph town in Wales, (although it is named after the Bishop who followed him) and several places in the town are named after him including Kentigern Court, Church and Monestary, but no sign of a pottery.
Presumed to date from the 1960s. One of them seems to have an impressed D and spiral marks but the potter is unknown

A mention here:
http://historypoints.org/index.php?page=the-old-china-house-st-asaph
"On the premises, potter Wendy Gill makes distinctive teapots, jugs, jars, vases, bowls, studio pottery and other ware. Her mother-in-law, Dorothy Stopes, established Kentigern Pottery here in the late 1960s, mainly to sell work by the Guild of North Wales Potters."
Which doesn't make it entirely clear if Kentigern Pottery actually produced pottery, or was merely a retailer.

Cheers. Would explain the D stamp on one of the vases. And the date is right. Maybe the other one was made by a guild member

They do rather have the look of the sideline of an enthusiastic shopkeeper, rather than a fulltime potter.
