Picked up this today at an auction, very curious piece, looks like some sort of alien nest with eggs, completely unmarked, measures 22cm in diameter. Anyone any ideas of where to start looking on this one?

I reckon Suzanne Stumpf might be a potential - just a quick Google suggests that she has a thing about eggs and egg receptacles.
