Could anyone give me a makers name to this Glass lion....It has two marks ...The first is an anchor with J D either side of the stem which is difficult to photographGlass Lion - John Derbyshire 1874 Wp_20139

because you can see the lions foot through the glass but its quiet clear in daylight.
the other mark appears to have roman numerals 111 ...11..&.1...   It looks very much like one of the Trafalgar Square lionS...

The mark on the left is a diamond registration mark. The numbers ( roman numerals) will tell you the date the design was registered . Just search 'Diamond Registation Mark' or this is a link to some info
