A 9-inch diameter bowl in red earthenware with an oatmeal glaze with simple wax-relief and sgraffito decoration. Inscribed on the base, a monogram JH 88 or JFH 88. The closest mark I can find in the book is Jane Hoyles, but I can't find images of her work for comparison.
Wrong date for Hoyles, the Marks book says her version was used 1990 onwards, and she worked in porcelain
Just my personal opinion, take it or leave it.
