Hello all,

I've searched and checked all of my reference materials but I can't figure out the mark on this piece. Its a beautiful little vase and has a Tuscan scene all around the vase that is hand painted and done quite nicely. The mark on the underside looks to be a ribbon. I was thinking it could be a Tucker & Hemphill or Tucker piece. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a similar piece with an Italianesque painting which I was told was likely to be from France or Italy but was not narrowed down to a particular factory.

Thanks Naomi. I have seen some pieces very similar here in the USA and they were attributed to Tucker. I am just stumped by the mark.

Well this Tucker and Hemphill vase is almost identical, apart from the surface decoration, so it is very possible. Probably best to take it to a local appraiser or auction house. It's possible it's a Tucker blank that someone else has decorated.
