Unmarked stoneware bowl, possibly Scottish. Empty Unmarked stoneware bowl, possibly Scottish.

This bowl was bought back in August as part of a job lot and tbh I'd kind of put it in a cupboard and forgotten all about it. It's unmarked, well made and measures 24cm in diameter. Every other piece from the lot turned out to be by Scottish potters such as Anne Lightwood, David Body and Lotte Glob so I'm going guessing that it's likely that this is also of Scottish origin. Thanks for any input.

There might be a hand written mark on the base - JE or SE?

There does appear to be something on the base Naomi and it would make sense as there is some sgraffito work going on all round the circumference of the bowl. I can't see any letters as such though, which orientation are you seeing them at?

I don't see it but maybe I've just been looking at it for too long tonight. Time for some sleep I think.
