Moya Cozens
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone could shed any light / more information on this print please. My Aunt (who passed away a couple of years ago) had this hanging in her front room for many years and I always loved the colours and lines and subject matter. I remember growing up with it there. It looks like it's numbered 9 of 20 (?) and signed in pencil by Moya Cozens. I've tried to do some research online but can't find anything animal related to this artist. It measures approx. 24" x 18.5". Thanks.

I am Moya's nephew. She spent some time in Jamaica in 1950/60s and produced many screen prints and paintings of local people and scenes. Many 100s of these screen prints were sold to hotels in Jamaica.
She was born in England and lived in Australia as a child, before returning to the UK and studying at the Slade School of Art in London, specialising in portraiture.
She taught Art at Croydon High School 70/80s and later moved to Denton in Sussex.
