Hi

Not finding the impressed mark on the left, does anyone know what it denotes? Perhaps it was someone else at the studio as the lid has a firing crack in it where the material separated.

Can't be certain but it looks as if it could be post-David i.e. when Jeremy was in charge. I don't recall seeing the other mark before.

Yes I can see that, can't find a list of who else potted about at Lowerdown though.

It looks like the Ankh mark.

Yes it does at that, though should be linked over at the top and those lines seem to go straight to the end of the stamp.

Jeremy Leach likes his Christian mark. He might have used this as an early Christian symbol before changing it to his current one

I can't find the reference but I'm fairly certain that in the late 1950s Jeremy had a pottery in the crypt of a church in S. E. London - it was always a toss up between potting and joining the church with Jeremy.

Jeremy usually sends me a letter once a year but I'm fairly certain he doesn't do the internet. If I get my usual letter then I'll see if there are any contact details.

Thanks Mr. P. I shouldn't worry as it's not a keeper. Of course the intel would be useful for the future.

Simon Leach also trained at Lowerdown and has strong Christian views. Now in the US and on Facebook

Thanks, I follow your thinking there. I believe I sold the pot some time ago but if it's hiding somehwere I'll ask him.
