Delan Cookson

Here's a small thrown porcelain vase - it reminds me of a granny smith apple.

Not sure when it was made, but he seems to be using blue glazes now...

I've read Delan works in Hayle, Cornwall. Does anyone know exactly where his studio is?

Lovely glazes

A beautiful globular pot with flared rim by Delan Cookson, found in a charity shop yesterday.

"He is most widely known nowadays for his brilliant clear blue glaze; a barium/lithium recipe with a small amount of copper carbonate to produce the blue colour. It is semi-translucent and is sprayed so that varying thickness can be achieved to give greater or lesser depth of colour and allowing the white porcelain body to add brilliance to the finished pot." Could anyone help with identifying this maker stamp / style?

It's by Delan Cookson.

Sadly it’s just been announced that Delan Cookson has died.

Studio vase DC Delan Cookson?
Just checking this is correct and that it’s not Derek Clarkson ( Clarkson was who I thought it was when I bought it)

Delan Cookson. He lives in Cornwall. Derek Clarkson really has two modes. Pieces that look very much Leach school, and Crystalline glazes. Disregarding the mark this is just not Derek Clarkson's style.

This, nice flat bottom, bottle vase has that type of Glaze with tiny bubbles in. I don't know if that's by design or not.
The letters in the mark are hard to see in any light. But looks like a 'C' for the lower letter.

Fantastic, I'm sure you are correct. I'l try and upload an image of the base for what it's worth.
But a closer inspection I can confirm shows constancy with his initials and the rectangle.
And another great Potter I had previously not heard of.

I'm going to try and ad a couple of his bowls to my collection.
