It's 9.5cms tall with a partly visible stamp on the base. Does anyone recognise it to give me somewhere to start..or maybe know a bit more, I'd be happy to save searching time!

Can't really make out the mark, maybe it wasn't fully impressed, like the Rd number.
However if it is 5 digits ie. 4738x it would be 1886.
If it is 6 digits ie. 4738xx it would be 1906.
Both dates would be fairly ok for the design.

Thanks for the info, I've done a bit of searching based on this and I found this mark on Old Copper.org.
http://www.oldcopper.org/samuel_heath_&_co_.htm

"This intricate monogram with 'LD' also in the top is sometimes seen underneath small copper pots or jardinières of Edwardian arts and crafts style with scrolls and motifs.  There is also a registration mark Rd No 473871 which was registered to Samuel Heath & Sons Ltd on the 13th February, 1906."

I think this is the one.
